Bhanu Priya is a researcher in feminist disability studies. She completed her M.Phil. degree from Centre for Women’s Development Studies and Ambedkar University, Delhi, as a part of which she wrote a dissertation on the question of disabled women’s sexuality as articulated in personal narratives of women activists with physical disabilities in India. She has presented her work at the International Conference on Gender and Sexuality in Asia, Monash University, Malaysia, Indian Association of Women’s Studies Conference, and has written for Indian Social Institute, Velivada, TARSHI, Mad in Asia and The YP Foundation. Presently, she seeks to explore the intersections of caste and disability in the anti-caste movement, in order to then be able to establish cross-movement dialogues aimed at policy change, implementation, and a more inclusive anti-caste politics.
