Participation And Sharing Of Caste Based Discrimination and Violence Faced by Dalit Women and Hindrance in Accessing Socio, Economic, Cultural and Political Justice in the “National Round Table Conference On Subaltern Feminism

The Two day “National Round Table Conference on Subaltern Feminism” was jointly organized by Janpahel, Ambedkar Social Justice Centre, Bargi  Bandh Visthapit Sangh,  Khedut Majdoor Chetna Sangh and Dalit Adhikar Abhiyan on 9 - 10 Nov. 2016 at Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. Ms. Abirami Jotheeswaran from National Dalit Movement for Justice – NDMJ, while sharing on the “Concept of Justice” as a speaker talked about the Caste based discriminations and violence faced by dalit women and hindrance in accessing Socio, Economic, Cultural and Political justice. 

The conference involved coming together of national subaltern feminist movements, social movements, mass movement, national and state women rights’ alliances to share their insights, thoughts, ideas, experience and recommendations to evolve a future direction to deepen and strengthen subaltern feminist ideology and leadership across the country. Participation And Sharing Of Caste Based Discrimination

In this two-day conference, various sessions were conducted on - Subaltern History and Root causes of Marginalization; Caste and Class struggle; Patriarchy and Caste system – Inter linkages; Caste, Class and Sexuality; Religion  and subaltern women; Subaltern  cultural  Movements;  Concepts of Justice; Tribal Identity and culture.
