Houses for SC families

 


THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Department of Scheduled Castes Development is building 2,500 houses for Scheduled Caste (SC) families in seven districts. The first of these houses will be handed over to the beneficiaries at a function at Parassala in Thiruvananthapuram district on Wednesday. Minister for Welfare of Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes A.K. Balan will hand over the keys at a function to be presided over by Minister for Housing Benoy Viswom. The houses are being built by the State Housing Board.
